Details
The dead player rule ensures fairness and safety after a player is eliminated. Once hit, a player must verbally acknowledge the elimination or raise their hand or marker above their head, depending on the field’s procedures. They must leave the field without affecting active gameplay.
The rule prohibits eliminated players from giving tactical information, pointing, shouting, or signaling to teammates. Such behavior gives an unfair advantage and is enforced strictly in organized play.
Eliminated players also must not act as physical cover, block shots, or obstruct opponents’ movement. They are expected to exit directly and safely to the deadbox.
The purpose of the dead player rule is to maintain the integrity of the match while reducing confusion for referees and teammates.
