Details
A near shot is a paintball that lands right beside the player you are aiming at close enough to scare or pressure them without actually hitting them. Near shots are useful because they interrupt an opponent’s rhythm, force them to tuck in, and reveal how they respond under pressure.
Players use near shots to test whether an opponent favors left or right exposure, whether they panic under fire, or how quickly they react. After a near shot causes the opponent to hide, the shooter can time their next angle or shot more accurately.
Near shots are especially powerful when combined with lane control or snap shooting, because even without direct hits, they control space and force opponents into predictable patterns.
