Home Player

Home Player reference article.

Overview

The home player begins in the central rear bunker and supports the formation through early observation, lane presence, and communication.

Key Points

  • Starts at the central rear bunker during the breakout.
  • Controls central or angled lanes during the opening sequence.
  • Shares information across both sides of the field.
  • Supports early transitions into structured positions.
  • Repositions after initial responsibilities are completed.

Details

The home player occupies the back-center bunker at the start of a point. From this location, the player has a direct view of both flanks and the central corridor, allowing early observation of breakout patterns and immediate changes in field structure.

Home players assist teammates by communicating eliminations, pressure shifts, and available transitions. After completing their initial responsibilities, they often move to secondary bunkers to reinforce specific zones or maintain presence in areas that require additional support.

The role provides early organization for the formation and helps establish communication patterns that continue throughout the point. Its positioning contributes to managing the transition between the breakout and the developing structure of the field.
