Overview
Pod management is the skill of organizing, carrying, and using paint pods efficiently during a game so players never run out of paint during critical moments.
Key Points
- Ensures players have enough paint for long points.
- Pods must be loaded, closed, and placed for easy access.
- Good management prevents dropped pods or slow reloads.
- Helps maintain steady shooting and pressure.
- Essential for back players who shoot high volumes.
Details
Pod management refers to how a player prepares, carries, and uses pods that hold extra paint during a game. Poor pod management can slow down reloads, create noise, or lead to dropped pods that distract or delay the player.
Good pod management includes: Filling pods completely before each point. Closing lids securely so they don’t open during a run. Placing pods in the harness in a consistent, easy to reach order. Practicing smooth, fast pod pulls during reloads.
Different roles require different levels of pod usage. Back players may carry 5–7 pods, mid players around 3–5, and front players usually just 1–2.
Strong pod management keeps pressure constant, prevents downtime during firefights, and ensures players stay supplied during long or high intensity games.
