Macro Positional Weighting Model
Overview
A model describing how different parts of the field carry varying strategic weight depending on structural geometry, pressure states, and evolving match conditions.
Key Points
- Defines positional weight as a macro factor.
- Describes how field geometry affects strategic value.
- Explains weight shifts during evolving match states.
- Separates positional value from tactical importance.
- Supports field design analysis and coaching frameworks.
Details
Positional weight measures how structurally valuable a zone is at any moment. Early in matches, wide zones may carry high value, while in late game states, central positions often dominate due to angle density.
Weight changes based on pressure patterns, lane influence, and asymmetry. When a lane collapses, the weight of adjacent zones increases. When a player is eliminated, the weight of supportive positions rises.
This model explains why certain field areas matter more at different times and supports analytical field design and match evaluation.
