Details
Line of sight governs every visual and firing decision in paintball. A player's line of sight determines what lanes they can contest, which threats they can identify, and how efficiently they can support teammates across the field.
Key factors influencing line of sight include: Bunker height and shape. Player stance and head position. Crossfield bunker layout and elevation differences. Opponent visibility and exposure habits.
Clear lines of sight allow players to: Control lanes. Apply crossfield pressure. Identify isolation opportunities. Detect movement indicators.
Blocked or restricted line of sight conditions require alternative tactics such as high angle shots, lateral moves, or inside routes.
At the elite level, players constantly adjust posture and angle to manipulate line of sight seeking windows that opponents don’t expect while denying them the same.
